Thermocrete chimney lining is a revolutionary process which allows your existing chimney to be lined without any construction work.

The material used for this is THERMOCRETE B2C – a lightweight but incredibly strong monolithic refractory castable, reinforced with ceramic fibres. It will restore your chimney stack to perfect condition (making it stronger than new), ensuring the flue is correctly sized for the appliance, increasing the flue’s efficiency, completely curing the existing damage and preventing further deterioration of the chimney lining.

Thermocrete is impervious to combustion gases and acid attack; it also has excellent insulation properties for your chimney.

How the Thermocrete chimney lining system works

The basic concept of the system is simple but extremely effective. A rubber former is inserted precisely in position through the entire length of the flue. Special techniques are used to keep the former centralised, even if the flue has a 45° bend. Thermocrete B2C material is pumped into the flue from the top of the chimney stack filling all voids, cracks and damaged joints. When the Thermocrete has hardened, the former is deflated and removed leaving a perfectly smooth cylindrical flue.

Industrial applications – industrial flues serving boilers up to 1.5 million BTU have been lined with Thermocrete. The principle is exactly the same with the pouring process being repeated in stages until the full height of the chimney is reached.
