Aerial Drone Surveys

We believe accurate Information is required and can be gathered prior to the commencement of any project to ensure accurate pricing and an insight into the true scope of any required works.

A drone survey is a cost effective & safer alternative to other expensive & potentially dangerous methods of inspection at height such as scaffolding & cherry pickers. Using a drone gives us the ability to conduct a comprehensive 360 ° live time inspection of a chimney whilst simultaneously capturing high definition imagery & video for our experienced team to review.

After the inspection has concluded we compile a detailed report together with supporting photos and video, outlining our findings and recommendations of any remedial works required.

*our surveys are carried out by a PFCO qualified pilot licenced by the CAA.

Bespoke Fireplaces

Weeden Masonry offer a second to none service that guides you through the choices & decisions you need to make in order to get your dream fire surround made especially for you.

We specialise in the hand carving of fire surrounds, and offer a complete service, from the design and sourcing of materials, carving in the workshop and installation on site.

Working principally with Limestones, like Portland, Bath, and Ham Stone. We also use Marble, Slate, and selected French Limestones that lend themselves to the carving process.

We aim to provide a bespoke service that incorporates all your design ideas and specific individual needs.

Camera Surveys

Our industry specific CCTV equipment allows tentative inspections to pinpoint structural weaknesses or even locate an obstructive birds nest.

A comprehensive chimney CCTV survey reveals the inside of the chimney flue to check the condition for complete peace of mind that the correct choice of liner is chosen.

Obstructions found during CCTV inspection can be clearly identified, without a CCTV chimney inspection these obstructions and blockages would not be visible without major intrusive works to the chimney structure.

We use the most up to date colour CCTV camera inspection equipment and technology to bring you this service and can supply corresponding information reports and a DVD of the inspection upon request.

The CCTV chimney survey can be carried out by passing the camera upwards from the fireplace opening or from the chimney top downwards depending on safe access being available and also the nature of the inspection required.

Lime Flue Repairs and Lining

In 2011 we decided to test the plausibility of introducing Lime based products into the industry. Through research and endless workshop trials we were able to incorporate a variety of aggregates and stone dust which when combined with Lime putty or NHL achieves a variety of versatile mortars. when set to certain ratios enables Lime and other heritage mortar materials such as hemp and hair to stay evenly bound through the application process.

This produces structural stability, a gas tight flue path & flexible alternative to modern rigid cementious linings in keeping with the fabric of the historic building.
